Echo reportedly added Charlie Cox and Vincent D?Onofrio, reprising their respective Marvel roles as Daredevil and Kingpin, in the Alaqua Cox-led series about the titular superhero/Maya Lopez, which first appeared on Hawk Eye. It?s unclear what they?ll be doing on the show, or how long we?ll be able to see them on our screens. Additionally, Marvel has yet to comment on the same, even though the rumors that the two Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) characters will be paired with Echo been around for a while now.

Deadline announces that Cox and D?Onofrio are joining the Echo cast as Daredevil and Kingpin. The report, however, doesn?t say if the two will have any scenes with Alaqua Cox, who stars in the MCU series.

For those who may not remember, Kingpin tutored Lopez on Hawk Eye. It was eventually revealed that he had killed his father. In the finale, we saw Echo shoot him off-screen after surviving a car crash and some trick arrow blasts.

D?Onofrio said afterwards Hawk Eye finished: ?I hope he?s not dead. I am with the fans, I want to continue to play this role. I hope we will continue.

The fact that Kingpin would feature on Echo, suggests that D?Onofrio?s wish may soon come true. Although given Echo would take place before and after the events of Hawk EyeD?Onofrio?s return as Kingpin could easily be consigned to the past.

Cox?s Daredevil, meanwhile, was last seen offering legal advice to Tom Holland?s Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Cox previously played the superhero on daredevillocking horns with D?Onofrio?s Kingpin in the first and third seasons.

Cox reprized his role in the spin-off The defenders. He would be about to come back for daredevil season 4, which is reportedly in the works at Disney+.

Returning to Echo, the MCU series chronicles Lopez?s life after returning to New York as a gang leader and attempts to connect with her Native American roots. Zahn McClarnon, Chaske Spencer, Tantoo Cardinal, Devery Jacobs, Cody Lightning and Graham Greene are also part of the Hawk Eye spin off. Marion Dayre and Sydney Freeland/Catriona McKenzie serve as showrunner and directors, respectively.

Echo, which may feature Daredevil and Kingpin, will be released on a date yet to be announced in 2023 on Disney+. In India, the Marvel series will be available on Disney+ Hotstar.
